Journey to Attorney

May 3, 2019. We were about to board the plane at Davao International Airport (went to Davao as lecturers for the Region XI branch of my previous Office) when I was informed that I passed the bar!

Took a picture of the clouds then from the plane, literally and figuratively nasa clouds ako hehe

During the bar review period, I had to distance myself from my family, then 2 years old baby boy Ice, my eldest daughter Pixel (herself dealing with their own kind of stress as Grade 7 in QC Science High), and syempre from my ever supportive hubby Dennis. I read all day and almost all night in the comfort of my dorm near UST, I read in the hallway, in the library, while eating, while walking, listening to the lectures while taking a bath haha, and only sleeping around 4 hours per day. Good thing my roomies are also bar examinees, we usually spend our "break time" discussing what we have read. All the hard work and sacrifices are all worth it indeed. I claimed it then and I did. Natuldukan rin ang Atty :) Thank you Lord.

Fast forward to June 13, 2019. We, the 2018 Bar Passers took our oath at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). A total of 1,800 out of the 8,155 examinees who completed the 2018 bar examinations passed. I am so thankful to God for letting me be part of the 22.07 percent Bar Passers. The 4 Sunday-Bar Exam at University of Santo Tomas was indeed nerve wracking, stressful but exciting at the same time. Words cannot express the anxiety, excitement, stress and all kinds of emotions that one has to deal with (starting from law school days at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law actually).

With my roomie, dorm mates and bar review classmates. I won't be able to survive the crazy bar review period without you all. We all survived ang galing! Thank you from the bottom of my 💓.

Passed the Bar ✔ Take the Oath ✔ Sign the Roll of Attorneys ✔
June 19, 2019 Now I'm a full-fledged lawyer since I already signed on the Roll of Attorney!! 📘 With me of course is my family hubby, Ice, (Ate Iris had classes and my sister Ailyn just gave birth then), my Mom, Brother Rommel and Jay Ann.

Journey to Attorney is not easy, challenging years of law school, constant pressure and stress, sleepness nights, thousands of pages to read, terror professors, and a lot more to deal with. One may be shaken, but with perseverance and hard work, support of family and friends, and of course constant prayers to the Lord, it is always possible to gain that dot.

Forever Humbled and Grateful,  ATTY. ROMILINDA C. SIBAL
