We cannot deny the fact that Ipads are now playmates of children, quite amazing actually that children as young as 3 year old are now very knowledgeable of computers and software unlike in our time. Iris usually search Appstore and download apps that she think she'll love, of course she knows by heart my password haha. The good thing about Iris is that she knows how to balance gaming from actual play with other kids not to mention studying and working on her assignments, so no worry about her being "addicted" to games. I've notice the games she normally plays and I loved it too!
Here's just some of her favorite Ipad Apps :)
TOCA DOCTOR lets Iris be a doctor, she needs to examine a patient and needs to solve mini fun puzzles that takes place inside the human body. She enjoys it since she wants to be a doctor someday to treat sick kids :) TOCA DOCTOR AppStore
PEPIBATH is just so cute. This game teaches Iris to take care of Pepi by giving her a bath, washing clothes, cleaning hands, how to use the toilet (haha this is funny cause you'll even flush the toilet and get some tissue for the "pupu") and a lot more. It's really nice because it interacts with Iris and says words like "Uuuh", "that's nice!" and others. PEPIBATH Appstore
ORIGAMI! Iris just loves making Origami along with her cousin Sean, so this App is really Perfect for them! Flowers, planes, piano, swan, house, name it I think they already made it :) They can literally spend minimum of 1 hour creating pretty origamis and they even have their own origami box to store their creations. HOW TO MAKE ORIGAMI Appstore
BARBIE!! Who doesn't love Barbie? so of course her app will certainly be lovely too. Favorite NI Iris yung BARBIE I CAN BE, where she can choose to be a Pastry chef, Pizza maker , or a veterinarian! Pretty app and absolutely free :) BARBIE I CAN BE Appstore
PHONE4KIDS :) This app will transform your ipad into a child's phone! not only that, it also features the different weather, there is also compass app, and drawing board. And it's really cute, may sms pa haha. Thumbs up! PHONE4KIDS Appstore
MAGIC PIANO! This app will make you feel like you're playing a real piano and a master of it, be it classical or new songs kahit kay Justin Bieber meron din haha. Iris' favorite is Fur Elise, o di ba classical. I personally love this app too (and I know a lot of adults who love it too haha di ba?) Im warning you, you might get addicted and want to download more songs but you need to earn more smoolas, as what happened to me haha It also has freestyle version where you can choose from 3 design like spiral, circular or traditionalpiano. Nice. MAGIC PIANO Appstore
ART OF GLOW is a stunning app that responds to your touch. It is a pretty virtual drawing board that has loads of colours. Every kid will love this, even tried it with my 1 year old nephew :) ART OF GLOW Appstore
So that's it for now, hope you'll enjoy this APPS :)

UST Civil Law 1B, 2B, 3B, and now 4B! yey!
My family in Civil Law, people who shared each other's ups and downs especially during emo moments when booklets are returned few weeks after examination..or napagalitan ng prof or bigayan ng grades during enrollment, and a lot more.. People who's always there ready for a talk over a cup of coffee (or milk tea haha) when problems arises as when 60-100 cases are needed to be read in a few hours and needs to be digested so we will be able to recite (remember Atty Bernardo hehe)..Love u guys..I sincerely hope I'm doing justice with the position you gave me..sama sama until graduation!! (and sa bar syempre!!)
Here's a compilation of some pics (there are hundreds haha) and it's always fun to look at our previous year pictures..

law school life
back when we were 1B yr 2009 |
2009. I was totally clueless when I entered UST Civil Law, fast forward to a class particularly Statutory Construction when ASG asked us it's definition..haha recitation sa 1st day, patay! and so the story goes on, never enter the classroom unprepared kung ayaw mo mapagalitan, and if ever the professor is not that strict, nakakapahiya naman infront of the class..
"Ideally", you need to study for 5-8 hours a day depending on your class..But for me, it's quite hard to study continuously since I need to spend quality time with Iris and of course, I need to tutor her as well (pays off anyway, proud that she's on top of her class 3 years in a row).
Now that I'm on my 4th yr I guess I'm doing fine naman with my studies, though I know I still need a lot of effort on my part to study harder, if not hardest haha. Our schedule normally starts at 4pm minsan may 1 pm..but now mas late na pag higher year. ..but still you need to go early to school para makapagreview..Classes are held Monday to Saturday.
You can review at school since UST Civil Law has it's own Law library on the 3rd floor of Library Bldg at syempre nandun din sina Ateng taga xerox. We also have our own Reading Area in the Main Building.
Im so proud of UST, student Christian Louie Gonzales placed fifth in 2011 Bar exam, taking into account only first-timers, UST posted a passing rate of 88.52 percent as 54 out of 61 first-time examinees made the cut.

So, I guess that's the reason why this 1st semester, we have 10 freshmen sections. But usually 4th year is composed of only 3 sections, as what happened to us this coming semester. But just believe and pray, teamwork is also needed, teamwork in discussing subjects and understanding what professors taught, it really helps because you cannot understand everything on your own, and 2 heads (in our case more than 10 hehe) are way better than 1 especially come prelims and finals examination.
Iris' Birthdays and more birthdays
I just love birthday parties and as always except for her 1st birthday at Shakey's, we usually celebrate her birthday at home, minsan sa QC or Pasig. So here's her cute birthday pictures!!
HER 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY at Shakey's West Avenue, we invited mostly of our dear friends from college as well as former close officemates :) She had lots of fun especially with the Bubble machine.
Her 2ND BIRTHDAY PARTY at home in West Avenue. The theme is Dora the Explorer. The cake is so cute (gift from Tita Oma and Tito Ricky) We invited of course the whole family and our current officemates (at that time I was working at Etelecare in Eastwood)

For HER 3RD BIRTHDAY PARTY, again we celebrated it at West Avenue, she is soooo cute. Her chosen theme is Winnie the Pooh but since she still loves Dora, she is still on the cake along with Pooh.

It's Iris' 4TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!! she wants to be a fairy and so we took her Magic Wand and prepared a fairy party for her!!
